Certified Deconstruction Contractor (CDC™)

The Deconstruction Contractor Certification is a 3-day, 24-hour hybrid training program designed for active contractors who want to expand their service offerings by adding deconstruction to their trade. This program provides the complete pathway to becoming a Certified Deconstruction Contractor (CDC.™)

Participants receive hands-on and applied training in the safe, methodical disassembly of residential structures, with a focus on material salvage, waste diversion, and circular construction practices. Contractors learn the full lifecycle of a deconstruction project, from pre-deconstruction planning and documentation to material recovery, reuse pathways, and coordination with nonprofit and reuse partners.

The program also covers grant eligibility, regulatory considerations, and required documentation for client tax incentives, enabling contractors to confidently offer deconstruction as a compliant, value-added service.
