2. About Deconstruction Academy

Deconstruction Academy is a program of Birch Group that provides education, training, certifications, and resources related to deconstruction, material recovery, and sustainable construction practices.
 

3. Eligibility

Participants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or have parental/guardian consent if under 18)

  • Provide accurate registration information

  • Comply with all program requirements and safety protocols
     

4. Program Participation & Conduct

Participants agree to:

  • Follow all safety guidelines and instructor directions

  • Use tools and equipment responsibly

  • Conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner

  • Not engage in disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful behavior

Deconstruction Academy reserves the right to remove participants from programs without refund for violations.
 

5. Training & Certification Disclaimer

Participation in Deconstruction Academy programs does not guarantee:

  • Employment

  • Certification (unless all requirements are met)

  • Specific outcomes or results

Certifications are awarded only upon successful completion of all program requirements.
 

6. Payments, Fees & Refunds

  • All program fees must be paid in full prior to participation unless otherwise stated

  • Refund policies may vary by program and will be provided at the time of registration

  • No refunds will be issued for failure to attend or complete a program unless otherwise specified
     

7. Grants & Incentives

Any grants, incentives, or financial benefits (including homeowner programs) are:

  • Subject to eligibility requirements

  • Not guaranteed

  • Dependent on available funding and program compliance

Deconstruction Academy reserves the right to modify or discontinue such programs at any time.
 

8. Assumption of Risk

Participation in hands-on training, deconstruction activities, and jobsite environments involves inherent risks, including injury.

By participating, you acknowledge and agree:

  • You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation

  • You will follow all safety protocols and use provided protective equipment
     

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deconstruction Academy and Birch Group are not liable for:

  • Personal injury

  • Property damage

  • Loss of income or opportunity

  • Indirect or consequential damages

Participation is at your own risk.
 

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and within programs, including:

  • Course materials

  • Training manuals

  • Templates

  • Videos

are the property of Deconstruction Academy / Birch Group and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without written permission. This includes any organizations purporting to offer hybrid services as these are trademarked.
 

11. Photography & Media Release

By participating in programs or visiting our site, you may be photographed or recorded.

You grant Deconstruction Academy permission to use images, video, or recordings for:

  • Marketing

  • Educational

  • Promotional purposes

If you do not consent, you must notify us in writing prior to participation.
 

12. Third-Party Information

We may provide information about partnerships, industry resources, or external organizations. Deconstruction Academy is not responsible for the accuracy or actions of third parties.
