Certified Deconstruction Specialist (CDS™)

The Deconstruction Specialist Certification is a 3-day hybrid training program designed for individuals who want to develop the knowledge and skills to oversee deconstruction projects from start to finish.

This program blends online instruction with an on-site demonstration day, where participants apply what they’ve learned and demonstrate competency directly to an instructor. The certification prepares participants to manage the full deconstruction process, ensuring projects are well-documented, compliant, and aligned with sustainability and waste-diversion goals.

Deconstruction Specialists play a critical role in planning, coordination, documentation, and funding strategy, serving as the bridge between property owners, contractors, nonprofits, reuse outlets, and public agencies.
