Building Materials Specialist Certification

The Building Materials Specialist Certification is a 3-day online training program designed for individuals who want to develop expertise in identifying, handling, and circulating high-value reclaimed building materials.
 

This program focuses on recognizing high-salvage, high-resale materials, understanding their reuse potential, and ensuring they remain in circulation rather than entering the waste stream. Participants learn how to evaluate materials at the job site, prepare them for transport, and guide them through appropriate resale, reuse, or repurposing pathways.
 

Building Materials Specialists play a critical role in the circular economy by connecting deconstruction projects with reuse stores, fabricators, artisans, and resale markets, turning materials at the end of one life cycle into resources for the next.
