OUR CAMPUS
Where sustainable skills are built
A Living Classroom for Deconstruction & Sustainable Construction
The Deconstruction Academy campus is more than a training site—it is a living classroom designed specifically for hands-on learning in deconstruction and sustainable construction practices. At the heart of our campus is a dedicated residential structure reserved exclusively for education and training. This house allows students to learn, practice, and demonstrate deconstruction techniques in a controlled, real-world environment—without relying solely on active job sites.

" By dedicating a structure solely to education, we eliminate uncertainty and ensure consistent, high-quality training outcomes"
Purpose-Built for Hands-On Learning
Our campus exists to ensure that every student has access to meaningful, applied training, regardless of market conditions or project availability. The campus is used for:
-
Demonstration days for certification programs
-
On-the-job training (OJT) when a live project site is not available
-
Skill assessments and instructor-led evaluations
-
Material identification, salvage, and documentation exercises
-
Sustainable construction and reuse demonstrations
Flexible, Reliable Training Environment

"Deconstruction Academy pioneered the hybrid model of online and hands-on training, setting the standard for how this work is taught today"
When a final project site is not available for a certification course, our campus serves as the primary training and evaluation location.
This flexibility ensures that:
-
Certification timelines stay on track
-
Students receive full instructional value
-
Learning objectives are consistently met
The campus allows us to deliver dependable training while maintaining the integrity and rigor of our certification programs.
Why a Dedicated Campus Matters
Built for the future of sustainable construction, our campus reflects what the Deconstruction Academy stands for: thoughtful learning, material respect, and practical sustainability. It is a place where students don’t just learn about deconstruction, they learn how to lead it.
Deconstruction is a hands-on discipline. Learning it requires more than theory, it requires doing the work. Our campus allows participants to:
-
Practice safe, methodical disassembly techniques
-
Identify and remove high-value, salvageable materials
-
Learn proper sequencing, documentation, and site management
-
Experiment, ask questions, and build confidence without job-site pressure
Deconstruction Academy instructors are practitioners, not just educators.
We have done the work, led projects, and built our training model from direct,
hands-on experience in the field.
